  語順について

  内容は違うのですが、２つの例文があります。

  「What do you think」の後に続く語順が異なるのですが、その理由が分かりません。

  1つ目の例文は、「What is the reason you have that problem?」に

  「What do you think」が差し込まれたのかな？と考えているのですが、その理解は正しいでしょうか？

  What do you think is the reason you have that problem?

  What do you think I bought last night?

    2つ目の例文が、What do you think did I buy last night?にならないのは何故でしょうか？

      １つの疑問文にdoは２回置けません。

      平叙文に直すとわかりやすいです。

      What do you think I bought last night?

      平叙文だとこうです。

      You think (that) I bought what last night.

      これを疑問文にすると、whatを文頭に持ってきて、助動詞のdoを置きます。

      そうするとWhat do you thinkです。

      あとは残った英文をそのまま後ろにおけばWhat do you think I bought last night?となります。
